Apartments

Becker Campus: Shepherd of Grace Apartments are for adults age 55 and better. With eleven floor plans to choose from, you’re sure to find just the right space for your needs. Our apartments feature microwaves, dishwashers, washers & dryers, and air conditioners in each unit.


Assisted Living

Good Shepherd’s Assisted Living program provides a helping hand when you need it. Our program is designed to deliver a package of services to you in your own apartment on either the Becker campus or the Good Shepherd campus. We know you want to be as independent as possible, and we want to help you achieve that goal. A personal assessment will help determine other customized service needs such as medication assistance and other personal cares.

Memory Care

Each Memory Cottage allows for nine tenants, all with their own private suite. Excellent food and family style dining provides them the nutrition and camaraderie needed to thrive. We offer specialized life enrichment programming, numerous outings and assist them in regular household routines. The Cottages provide more professional supervision from caring staff than traditional assisted living options.

Do I have to be Lutheran to live the Good Shepherd Community?
At Good Shepherd, we welcome people of all faiths.

 

Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed at Shepherd of Grace-Becker campus.

 

Is smoking permitted?
The Good Shepherd Community is smoke-free on both the Sauk Rapids campus and the Becker campus. Smoking is prohibited by residents and guests in all areas of the buildings and grounds, including individual residences.

Assisted Living Questions

How much do assisted living services cost?
At Shepherd of Grace-Becker Campus, we have assisted living efficiency size apartments where services provided by Good Shepherd or another provider must be taken. We also have apartments that people can live in, with or without assisted living services. Service package pricing ranges from: $1,922.00 – $2,126.00 plus any hands-on care as assessed.

 

What types of payment are accepted?
Good Shepherd accepts private pay, long-term care insurance, and Elderly Waiver through the county at both the Sauk Rapids campus and the Becker campus. Housing support (formerly Group Residential Housing or GRH) is accepted at both campuses on a limited basis.

 

Is there a waiting list?
Market rate (or private pay): We typically do have waiting lists, however, there is no cost and no risk to put a name on any of our lists. Simply fill out an application. Once your name comes to the top of the list and you are offered and accept an apartment, there is a small application fee charged to process the application, conduct a criminal background check and any landlord verifications.

Memory Cottage Questions

Who can live at Good Shepherd or Shepherd of Grace Cottages?
People who have minimum to moderate memory loss due to some form of dementia or Alzheimer’s can live at our cottages. A nursing pre-screening is conducted prior to acceptance to make sure our services can meet the person’s needs.

 

How much do they cost?
The cottages are a housing with services entity so the cost is rent plus a service agreement. Rent is based on the size of the room and services begin with a basic package plus any hands-on care as assessed.
Becker Cottages: Rent $995.00 + Services $4,757.00 – $6,422.00

 

Do I have to share a room?
All our bedroom suites are private.

Becker Campus

Whether you would like an occasional meal or three scheduled meals daily, Good Shepherd Nutrition Services offers meal options to meet
your needs. We can provide you with the option for a noon meal, or you can choose a comprehensive meal plan. Comprehensive plans offer
two or three meals per day, five or seven days a week. There is also a weekend-only option available.

 

Excellent food, wonderful conversation, and the warm companionship of friends make every meal both precious and delicious.
