John Heintze Sauk Rapids Citizen of the Year 2018
John Heintze Sauk Rapids Citizen of the Year 2018. On Monday, April 23rd, John was honored at Sauk Rapids City Hall for being selected as the 2018 Sauk Rapids Citizen of the Year. The reception was attended by family, friends, Mayor Kurt Hunstiger, members of the Sauk Rapids Citizen of the Year Committee and the other nominees. John was greatly humbled by being selected as a representative of the individuals who have a positive impact on the Sauk Rapids community.
Here is John’s acceptance speech. “I am not here to talk about me, but rather to express my gratitude for receiving this award. I thank God for The Good Shepherd Community, Jenny Zimmer, friends and my family. I will continue to do my utmost to enhance the Sauk Rapids Community by being an example of my faith and service to our country and giving an attitude of respect. I admire the qualities shown with those that serve our community in law enforcement, fire safety and all those that take on the burden of making Sauk Rapids successful. Our freedoms and liberties granted to us by military through the ages has allowed myself, and all citizens who wish to give back, the opportunity to do so. Everyone gathered here today has given me great support to enable me to carry on the tasks I choose to do. May Almighty God Bless you.”
