Apartments

Shepherd Court Apartments are for adults age 55 and better. You can choose from six different floor plans of one or two bedroom apartments. Extra conveniences are included in the rent such as weekly cleaning of your kitchen and bathroom and Satellite TV.


Subsidized Apartments

By participating in HUD (Housing and Urban Development) programs, we are able to meet the needs of low and very low income/disabled seniors. Our Sauk Rapids campus offers three income based apartment buildings to adults 62 years old and better, Good Shepherd Apartments, Shepherd Oak and Shepherd Oak West.

How do I obtain more information or arrange for a tour?
To schedule a tour or obtain more information, please call the Good Shepherd Welcome Center at 320-259-3476 or email us at info@gsc-mn.org. You can also request additional information by submitting the contact us form (/contact-us) within this website.

 

Do I have to be Lutheran to live the Good Shepherd Community?
At Good Shepherd, we welcome people of all faiths.

 

Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed at Shepherd of Grace-Becker campus.

 

Is smoking permitted?
The Good Shepherd Community is smoke-free on both the Sauk Rapids campus and the Becker campus. Smoking is prohibited by residents and guests in all areas of the buildings and grounds, including individual residences.

Apartment Questions

How much does it cost to be in the apartments?
At Good Shepherd Sauk Rapids, market rate (or private pay) rents range from $1,089.00 to $1,302.00 per month depending on the size. We also have 3 HUD subsidized apartment buildings where rent is based on 30% of adjusted gross income, after meeting income qualifications.

 

Who can live in an apartment?
Market rate (or private pay) apartments are for adults age 55+. Subsidized apartments are for adults age 62+.

 

Is there a waiting list?
Market rate (or private pay): We typically do have waiting lists, however, there is no cost and no risk to put a name on any of our lists. Simply fill out an application. Once your name comes to the top of the list and you are offered and accept an apartment, there is a small application fee charged to process the application, conduct a criminal background check and any landlord verifications.

Subsidized: We typically do have waiting lists. Simply fill out an application to put your name on the list. Once your name comes to the top of the list and you are offered and accept an apartment, you complete a final income verification process prior to accepting the apartment.


Whether you would like an occasional meal or three scheduled meals daily, Good Shepherd Nutrition Services offers meal options to meet
your needs. We can provide you with the option for a noon meal, or you can choose a comprehensive meal plan. Comprehensive plans offer
two or three meals per day, five or seven days a week. There is also a weekend-only option available.
