Meet Debbie!

Debbie is living her dream life!  One year ago, she moved to the Shepherd of Grace community in Becker. She was drawn here by the culture, sense of stability and opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others in a clean, beautiful and safe living environment where she’s surrounded by wonderful residents. Debbie says living here feels like family. “We enjoy each other’s company; we take care of each other and we celebrate together”.

As Debbie has always said, “the sun always shines in Becker Minnesota!” It’s a kind community with great people especially her wonderful sister and brother in law Cindy and Mark Graham; educators who are highly admired in the community.  With covid-19 restrictions, she misses her family of three awesome children – Drew, Melissa and Lindsay – and five loyal and wonderful grandchildren whom she is extremely proud of and adores. “They are my best friends and my heroes. They are everything to me and I love them with my whole being.”

While having a background in Sales and Marketing, she recently paved a new route and began working as a housekeeper at Shepherd of Grace. Debbie considers her housekeeping role as a sales model as well. She still has customers but in a new way! Debbie sells the experience, the culture, the services and the feeling of goodwill and health. She describes her work as the greatest gift.

At Shepherd of Grace, everyone is dedicated to helping each other with the residents’ best interests in mind and with the highest of ethics. She enjoys her coworkers and states, “the intellect of the nursing staff is phenomenal; they are highly trained and very compassionate. All of the staff are very dedicated plus, my manager Carol is the best!”

Debbie loves new beginnings and has moved an astonishing 67 times. As for her leisure time, her favorite TV channel is HGTV where she loves to pick up design ideas. She has an honest and ongoing interest in getting to know about the world through people. She describes herself as a “nester” and enjoys being a homebody.

“Life is good. I’m living in peace. I’m grateful and I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my life.”

We are proud that Debbie calls Shepherd of Grace home.
