Meet Erma

Erma was born in Minneapolis in 1918. After she graduated she worked for many years as a secretary for her father who owned an insurance agency. She met her husband who was a truck driver and together they had four children. She quit working long enough to have kids and then continued working for her dad until she was 58. After that she went to work for a law firm in downtown Minneapolis for a short time and then was hired as an executive secretary for Lutheran Social Services.

After she retired, they moved to Rush Lake in Palmer where they really enjoyed living on the lake. Not one to stay still, Erma has stayed busy doing crafts in her retirement like knitting, crocheting, sewing and card making.

She loves living at Shepherd of Grace and says, “everyone is so nice here, I really enjoy the many friends I’ve made.”

We are proud Erma calls Shepherd of Grace home.
