Hi everyone! Do you remember me? I am Louisa, the therapy cat who went for a walk by myself. I found myself in jail. I was very afraid and missed my family. I waited
there for three long days and they finally came and bailed me out. I was so happy to be home, finally. They told me I am now six years young, but it is time to give up the
‘terrible two’s’ antics. LOL (laugh-out-loud) fat chance!

Being a ‘tortie’ (tortoise shell), I am quite adept at misadventures, much to the chagrin of my family. They do take me for walks on my leash. I enjoy my outings and
even caught mice while on it. But – I try being an ‘escape artist’ and sometimes get away.

I have taken the man in my family on ‘cat and mouse’ chases (he’s the cat, I am the mouse). I run ahead of Mr. Gimpy (that’s what I call him, he kinda has trouble keeping
up with me). I let him get close, and then dart ahead; then repeat, repeat – I do let him catch up with me, eventually. My family decided to try keeping tabs on me by putting
me in Mr. Gimpy’s fenced garden (aka ‘the man cave’). As you probably figured out, sometimes ladies are allowed. They thought I would be safe in there. It worked for a
while, until I found an escape route (I’m not spilling the beans). LOL! I fooled them! The lady (the Enforcer) went to check on the other members of the feline family sleeping on the deck. I came cruising by on the railing, stalking a blackbird. The Enforcer saw me and nabbed me in a hurry. She told me I was naughty. I’ve heard that word a lot and
think it means I’ve misbehaved.

I did not get to go in the ‘man cave’ for a while (seemed like an eternity), but one day the Enforcer was working in the yard and decided to put me in the ‘man cave.’ Guess what? When she wasn’t looking – I escaped/ Even though I knew I was naughty, I let her catch up with me.

Even though I am very adept at misadventures., adventures are fun also. I like going for rides in the car. Sometimes the rides take me to the doctor to get my license
renewed, which allows me to do my job at Good Shepherd. Lucky me, I discovered the bucket of cat cookies on the counter, sat down and guarded them. The doctor gave me
some cookies (they are my favs) after we were finished. She said I was such a good girl, (see, I can behave when I want to). I got extra cookies, yum!

I went with my family to visit (they told me to be on my best behavior) some friends (very nice, very good friends). Honestly, I did try my best. It was a beautiful summer
evening to enjoy the great outdoors. The gentleman has an electric wheelchair. It is kind of like a car, but only one person can sit on it at a time. He asked me if he could be my
Lyft Driver? “What’s that,” I asked him? He said that he would take me for a ride around the neighborhood. I asked, “but didn’t you say it was a one-person ride?” “Oh, Louisa, “he said, “there is plenty of room on my lap to give a pretty girl a ride.” I jumped at the chance to go for a ride with my ‘Lyft Driver.’ We had soooooooooooo much fun cruising around. We visited with people, and I got petted and enjoyed the scenery. I asked my ‘Lyft Driver,’ “could we do it again?” “Sure,” he said. I told him thank you for all the fun and he said he had fun also.

I told my doctor at my appointment about going for rides with my ‘Lyft Driver.’ She suggested that my family get me a remote-control Barbie car so I can cruise around the
neighborhood by myself. The doctor then said that may not be a good idea because you might find yourself in jail again.

MORAL OF THE STORY:

Adventures can be a lot of fun and even some misadventures.

But… remember any type of adventure can potentially get you into a sticky situation if

you are not careful, so my family keeps reminding me.
