Meet Michelle –
Michelle Vasek has worked for Good Shepherd for over five years and is the Director of Home Care Services.
Michelle is very passionate about nursing and has infused her 30+ year career with recruiting, teaching, training and mentoring new nurses. Over the years, she has held many types of nursing positions including aide, floor nurse, hospice, infusion, per diem, case manager, educator, director and administrator in long term care and home health care. Throughout the years that she has held these different positions, she has always gravitated back to Home Health Care. Her philosophy remains that she can’t expect anyone to do what she hasn’t or can’t do. This way she “gets it” and she leads by example. She has always taken on each new role with the goal of leaving it better than when she started.
Michelle has been actively involved outside of Good Shepherd with the Minnesota Home Care Association for many years. She is on her second term on their Education Committee. Recently she was nominated and accepted to be the Association’s Region IV Chair. This new role includes responsibilities for providing member agencies with opportunities for education, collaboration between agencies, survey procedures and trends, working on grassroots initiatives and helping member agencies to remain in compliance.
We are proud to have Michelle as part of Good Shepherd’s caring staff.
